How often do you all respool ur reels??
If I'm doing alot of saltwater fishing i normally respool several times a year. That SW environment knocks the hell out of line especially mono. You can tell when the mono looses some of its original sheen its starting to weaken. FW i can get by with once a season if line isnt exposed to extreme sunlite or frayed up from rock structure etc..

I found that some lines almost are shot with one day of sw fishing especially in extemely hot sunny days while fishing ruff cover areas.

a couple to several times each year usaully .i did my trout reels with 4 and 6 the week before season and i'll probably respool the 4 after about 5 or 6 trips out or as soon as it starts to look dull and feel rough
