Just bought 2 of Frabills galvanized traps(pic below). Curious what all you minnie trappers use for bait?? I have used hardshell crab scrap & canned cat food with pretty good luck. With cat food I take a can of fish based food & punch holes in can before putting in trap.

have always used bread. put it in a mesh bag and tie to bottom of trap. and let a little float around. use to let em sit over night but make sure you hide it.

one of the last times my father and i used one of those was up on brokenstraw creek. we went fishing at kinzua dam that day. while we were gone a big thunderstorm came thru down there. we got back just in time to watch the willow tree it was tied to float down the creek to the river. that tree had to be 60 feet tall when it floated away.
