it was never offered in the 760 or 7600..stainless

i think it was offered as a limited edition one year. but no longer offered.

They were offered with a coating..some type of Nitrate I believe was the name of it..similar to nickel or nickel based...a little shiney if my memory serves me correctly....

Grices had a run of nickel coated 7600's the last couple of years.
If you want it waterproofed,have someone put a teflon finish on it.I had it done to a stainless ruger model 77.I didn't like the mirror like stainless steel so I had it sprayed with a flat teflon coating.It's been on the gun about 6 yeras now and it's holding up very well.It costs $75 for a barreled action and another 15 bucks for the scope rings.
