The Post on Winchester model 70 got me to thinking! ;D You folks ever have a buddy pass-on and be at the funeral and see the *Buzzard* circle the wife... Wanting to know what she is going to do with his guns? Dang, I've seen it more than enough... What words of wisdom do you leave your wife on this..... Other than just shoot the SOB. How should she get rid of your Guns and get the best money for them? ?? MM

Yeah but everyone is forgetting the ?......>"How should she get rid of your Guns and get the best money for them? ?? MM " Some of us has got more money tied up in guns than we like to think about......... What have you told your "KIN" to do with them.. Give them to Gully thumper? Send then to a Gun Shop and be at their mercy or let the next husband drink them away... Folks, it something to think about.. Heck does your wife even "Know" what they are worth? Be awful said to see them set out in the garbage can for trash! ;D MM

I have already given some to my sons and grandkids , i believe the only way is to have very specific written instructions with values , and who should be in charge of the sales or which items you would like who to have.

That's my biggest fear in life....that I'll pass on early and my wife will take all of my guns, bows and hunting gear and sell them for "what I told her I paid for them"... Actually directions are spelled out in a letter that is in a sealed envelope securely put away in a fire box in our closet. Depending on their ages at the times, things are divided up or to be divided up between our two boys. Directions to this letter are also spelled out in our will.

You would of thought that as many shotguns, rifles, muzzy's, and bows that me and mrlongbeard have put together, that we would of discussed what if one of us goes before the other, what would we do with the others guns, bows, etc. ??....... What we have discussed and what we are only worried about, is our DOG .......don't have any kids, as for the rest of our things, it's all materialistic...................Then again, I'm thinking maybe he would want to hold on to my Ten Point Crossbow for himself ;D ;D
