Nothing like 1/16 oz white ones on fresh stockies. Also I favor the Picola's niti 1 and peanut.

The shafts bend way too easily if you get stuck on something. ou might as well use it as an earring if it gets caught on something. I dont know about most of you but I dont have the time to get that thing back to perfectly straight. Its like you need a mini version of an arrow straightener for a lure.

I always did good on the rainbow trout pattern. Dont use them anymore. One snag and their bent forever. Scott

I always use the 1/24 size , black with silver blade. Nice and light. You can just hang them in a little fast water and let them spin without moving that much. Any trout around can't stand it, and comes up and hammers it. Hard to find the 1/24 size any more though.

When it coms to trout on the Clarion River and I want to use a rooster tail here are my choices...
Brown trout... white blade.. white body with black spots
Brook trout.. silver or gold blades.. plain yellow body
Rainbow trout.. pink blade and solid pink body
If I want smaller trout I use smaller spinners..for those "over 20 inch puppies" I use a much large rooster tail..
