PA F&B Comm. has started to stock smolts - so the fisherman should handle them with care cause they are their future adult steelhead- all creeks now - in the beginning it was just Raccoon and Crooked creeks - but now more of the creeks are opening up they can stock more of the streams with smolts ...Elk Creek and 20 mile and Crooked Creeks will be stocked with regular trout (Browns) Friday before the opening day .. so the steelhead fisherman can fish right up to the very end... " a map of PA with all the counties in it just click on your favorite county and it will show when they are stocking trout - preseason and in season stockings - sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/stock.htm
