I caught several last May in Potter County in Sizerville State Park. We helped stock several hundred.
First time I ever saw them being stocked in PA. The fish warden told us it was something they were trying....

Trying what Better hold over ? For natural reproduction? Does anyone know the reason? I think their neat looking and wouldn't mind catching a few

Go on the Fish Comm site and look up hybrid fish. We actually caught one today drifting the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River and had no idea what it was. Came home and looked it up. It was a tiger trout. It's a cross between a brook trout and a brown trout but had a pattern almost like a pickerel and is mostly a blue/gray /silver tint. Really neat fish. We released it. The fish comm has been experimenting with them and has stocked them mostly in waters where Brookies habitate.
