white is the best producer for me but I always carry black and chartruese green

actually i have double and some triples with most all rooster tails, and the yellow ones seem to hit for me

same as firefightnlife... yellow w/ silver blade (yellow stripe on blade) has been best rooster tail for me
though i think it really depends on the creek/lake youre fishing & the water & weather conditions of that day

Largest stream rainbow I've ever seen was caught on a 1/4 oz rainbow trout roostertail. Fish went 29 inches and just over 9 lbs! I netted it for the 13 year old kid with the ten lb test line....one of the neatest things I've seen. I usually carry white, green and black in 1/16 oz or maybe an 1/8 oz depending on water conditions.
