I finally got to see one in action.....you guys who have been waiting for a short action semi-big banger can wait no more...BEING old school, I'm always skeptical when something new shows up on the line...in this case I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a .338 win mag but it's more than enough to put big holes in shoulders and leg bones...it shoots the same bullet a few hundred feet per second slower but still that's more than enough...the rifles are lightweight, short in the action and easy to handle. The bolt I watched was shooting 1 1/4 groups with their ammo...,more than likely you could improve it some.. ALL in ALL..it looks like a winner for those who will spring for one..not sure how much of a following it will get at first, but it's a shame if it doesn't get a fair shake....SWEET round..

I have been thinking about a .338 Federal in a Ruger Frontier for some time now.

That may in fact be a very good choice, wonder how long it will take to get BIG GREEN on the bandwagon...this would make a great choice if they made the pump 7600 in it..now that would be a awesome machine...
