I see that T/C has jumped into the centerfire bolt action world...along with the rifle they also introduced a new cartridge..just what we need !! The .30 T/C is sortta inbetween the .308 - .30/06 in size, but they are claiming that it will equal the /06 in performance velocity...their claiming it'll toss a 150 grain .308 bullet 3000 feet persecond ! I'll belief that when I see it, hopefully someone will have one at the range and I'll break out the Chrony and settle it for myself....they are also claiming that the recoil is 25% less than the 30/06 in producing the same velocity, I realize alot of new concepts have occured in the powder making world but I always go back to physics, for every action there is an equal an opposite re-action....their stating it has to do with a short column of powder v. a tall one...guess my BR's and PPC's don't recoil and that's it's my imagination....30 T/C. sounds like a great idea, their rifle I'm sure is manufactured 1st class...I'll reserve my final judgement when I see the target and the chrony numbers..

Claim have it that it has a 5 R rifling.. A Russian rifling as I understand it.. I'm not familar with it but it has my attention.... They say it is more accurate I'd like to sit down and shoot one... The pictures have some nice looking wood but we all know how they can be when you get a hands on look.... Mite be the only good looking wood they had. Even so It would be nice to try one out in any caliber. MM

The new Icon shown on the add is one of the first 2500. THey have special wood on those ones the remaining runs are not the same stock.. I've been reading about it and actually looking at one when they come out. They were slated to be on the shelf in Sept./Oct time frame.
The 30 T/C is suppose to live up to the claims by all of the articles that I have read. THe problem with this and Horniday's light Mag is you cannot duplicate it due to the powder they use.
