This will be my first opener in probably 10 yrs, I'm taking my 3 yr old daughter and 19 month old son out. I might as well get back into it again, they're getting to that age.

LOL a bunch of guys from up north should go down and play like flatlanders leave all our garbage and stuff just lieing along the bank like they do to us up here.

I'm a flatlander and I resemble that remark ;D Just kiddin, I know exactly what ya mean. I hate walking along a stream and finding empty stryofoam bait containers. I usually pack twice as much garbage out as I bring in with me

Trust me, we get plenty of garbage down here as well. Surprised more of you coldbloods aren't trekking down here for the early opener. Lord knows we all go up there and crash yours for the doubleheader!

Surprised more of you coldbloods aren't trekking down here for the early opener. Lord knows we all go up there and crash yours for the doubleheader! Why would we want to . Plenty of special reg areas up here . Plus Ny starts April 1st . Actually the stream I fish in Ny is open year around. No crowds to deal with either .

Marshrat, I'm a "flatlander" and unlike Y I Hunt, I DO take offense to that. What makes you think only "guys from up north" care about the condition of their streams and rivers ? You surprise me. That's a pretty ignorant statement. I would think most people on this or any other outdoors site would be concerned about their environment. Just because some jacka$$es from "somewhere" else trashed some streams around where you live, doesn't give you the right to "blame" everyone from around my area of the state for it. You surprise me pal.

Y I Hunt, Good for you man. I do the same thing. I always pack out at least twice as much as I take in. In fact I hardly take anything in and always carry a garbage bag with me when I go.

Thanks,
It doesn't matter weather your a flatlander, stumpjumper, ridgerunner(nothing personal ridge!!!) swampginnie, or whatever. Littering is a trashy subject we all need to be aware of.
BTW, I don't think marshrat meant anything personal!!

Beddog I’m sorry if I offended you in anyway. It was a mere joke. I get a lot of people from around here yelling and thought it would be funny. I would never litter on any stream, lakes, anything to do with fishing in PA regardless of the location.

Marshrat, Not a problem. For some reason that just rubbed me the wrong way. Guess I need the early opener more than I thought. Good luck on your opening day.

LOL a bunch of guys from up north should go down and play like flatlanders leave all our garbage and stuff just lieing along the bank like they do to us up here. I hate for it to come to this but oh well, Marsh I'm from Lancaster county, I hate it here would rather live in Clearfield, but anyway you guys up there call yourself rednecks, I'm waaaaay closer to the Mason Dixon line then You, I'll show ya rednecks.. Secondly your brethern from what I saw are some of the biggest out of control slobs I ever saw, so don't blame flatlanders, I take offense too, I take better care of the land up yonder then your own neighbors do!!! OK I feel better, sorry for Hijacking thread, I didn't catch squat today.
