Took my son and his friend to Dunlap today. They caught 14 between the two of them. All but 2 were C&R-- I didn't fish

Good job. I haven't fished that lake since last year. Don't think I caught anything. Have you ever fished it on the first day? If so, how was it?

Sounds good why didnt you fish? best to let the boys catch some but always goof for the old man to still show them how to do it.

I went one time on the opener a few years ago. Never again!!! It was shoulder to shoulder and you could almost walk across the lake from boat to boat and not get your feet wet.!
I was surprise how good the boys did today.. They were using Pautzeke red fire balls, casting about 15 feet out from shore.

Sounds good why didnt you fish? best to let the boys catch some but always goof for the old man to still show them how to do it. Truthfuly, I did think they would catch anything with the cold front so i didn't bother to throw my stuff in the car. I had a good time watching them!!!

They did it again today. The boys went back out and caught 9 today. They had to keep 1 trout today, it was hooked to deep.
