AVID, Cabela's and German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue PA have teamed up to hold another microchip clinic on Saturday, May 5th, at Cabela's Hamburg (eastern) Pennsylvania store location. All proceeds benefit the German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue PA program.
Microchipping hours are between 9 am and 3 pm and chip insertion will be done by either a licensed veterinarian or CVT in compliance with state veterinary board requirements.
Complete cost is $35.00 which ALSO includes the registration fee with AVID. No vet office visit, no vet insertion cost, nor separate registration/send in fee - $35 covers everything. All breeds are welcome, too.
Please consider this permanent ID to protect your dog with a safety net should it become lost or stolen. Dogs don't know property, gameland, township, county nor state lines when they're on a scent or mission. AVID provides their readers to humane societies, shelters, pounds and nonprofit rescue groups free of charge and any incoming stray must be scanned for the presence of a microchip. Most veterinary practices have readers as well.
Pre-registration is encouraged so that we order enough microchips and in time for this event. Email Joyce at supermomjh@aol.com to reserve a chip or if you would like a flyer emailed to you. Also, please have your vet's name and tel number as well as a second contact name and number along handy with you so that the submitted paperwork to AVID is complete.
In addition to providing a permanent id to protect your hunting dog(s), please support this fundraiser so that we can in turn help the German Shorthaired Pointers in our program that require veterinary care.
Thank you!
