Any fans of the T/C contender out there? Just recently bought my 1st one with the super 14 30-30 brl & burris scope havent even had the chance to put it on the bench and went and bought a 223 brl for varmits and preditors just have to scope it and its of to the bench! Cant wait!

I shot a contender for several years,the one thing i didnt like about the contender is if you cock the hammer and then leave it down,you can not recock it without breaking the action open first. it was very accurate with the 222rem and 44rem mag bbls both were super 14s.

i have shot them in a 223 prior to buying mine and they are a blast and very accurite peice of cake shooting bowling pins and 6" steel peeps at 200 yards cant wait to get mine out there after some chucks!

got a 7 point with mine. 30 30 14 in barrel open sights. thinking about 45-410 barrel to shoot slugs. might be nice to hunt spec. reg . area with a pistol again. anybody shoot slugs with one? if so what kind of groups?

ive been thinking about that same brl for mine but id like to try it for small game and rabbit hunting with my hounds

Just got a 35 rem contender for a buddy of mine off of gun broker.com. It it a super 14 with a muzzle break,blued finish with a fixed T/C scope. Near perfect condition. If anyone ever goes on the sight they are great people to work with.
