I have a Browning Hi-Power Practical 9mm i carry durin camping trips, in truck dash etc & while at huntin camp etc. Not too heavy & very accurate. I have a concealed carry permit. Last summer bought a CZ 97B 45 ACP. I carried it while hog huntin in TN. Its a real nice 45 for anyone in the market. Also, known for great accuracy/reliability. For concealed carry I have a KAHR PM-9. It cant be beat for comfort and concealability. The only thing that comes close is a J-Frame Smith. At least four of myfriends have bought the same gun after handling and shooting mine. The main point to a carry gun is that it be CARRIED. I used to carry a compact 1911 (Springfield V-10 ultra Compact). Very nice but not always easy to conceal or carry.
I carry a 6 "Taurus .44 Mag with open sights whenhunting. I haven't shot anything with it though. I just picked up a scoped 8 " Taurus Raging Bull .454 Casull and am anxious to see how that beast is to handle and shoot. It certainly looks cool.

I like to hunt with my 6.5 inch model 29 with Millett red dot sight. Have taken deer and groundhogs with it. Also have an 8 inch Anaconda.

Well, if the Illinois lawmakers would ever pull their heads out of the sand and go with the other 48 states that allow concealed carry, I'd carry my H&K USP 40. I'm not sure what other state besides Illinois doen't allow CCW.
