I have an ole Rapala Finland mfg (Normark) ELO Ice Fishing jiggin rod that is likely over 40 years old. Has an outomatic trigger built in to jig. Does this one ever have some fishing trips & memories connected to it. Thinkin of puttin out of service & preserve and gettin a new one. Anyone here have a favorite??

Found this nice lil ice fishin combo at Cabelas on Sale for only $19.99!! Sure have come a lomnng way from the days of old! ;D All the durability and performance you've come to expect from the Fish Eagle name, comes together in this rugged Ice Combo. Sensitive graphite blank with cork handle lets you feel every nibble. The ultralight two-bearing ice reel, with aluminum spool handles hard fishing. Available in four different lengths to handle anything swimming under the ice.

The open face outfit is what I use mostly, and you have not felt anything until you have a ten pound Lake Erie Steelhead on this little outfit looking down a dark hole in the ice!

I like the Scholey jig poles for trout and pan fish. But for bigger fish I like something with a backbone so I use a regular pole.
