how to skin a bear for a full body mount.and is it different than skinning it for a rug?

no different at all, unless you are lucky enough to get it without the guts removed then i would dorsal skin it ,but that is my personal method i prefer .i sew them up if they are ventral cut before mounting then cut them dorsally eaiser to mount and sew once mounted.

Okay here is one.......
When I get the big buck this year.... that I plan unsuccessfully each year to harvest how do I cape it in preparation for a shoulder mount?
I process my own deer and most of my buck had been skull cap mounts. So I would imagine a simple skinning is not preferred. When I skin my deer I skin from base of skull working towards the rear.

preferably start to skin out 6- 8 inches behind the shoulder and then work your way up to the neck cutting head off at the atlas junction (head ,neck) leaving the rest for the taxidermist to do.
