Cant say for sure but an average is 6 months to a year depending on the number of heads he has to mount

6-12 months should be the normal span. i heard of some guys doing it inside of two months. but i cant see getting them done that fast, drying time would be over excellerated and i dont think the mounts would be properly suited for finish work. jmo

I dropped my buck off the sat after I got him and it will be due back in 2 weeks.
I have european mounts done does not take as long as a regular mount usually 3 months with my taxidermists.
My antelope however has taken longer has taken 4 months for it.
So I would say depending on the type of mount you're getting done it would be safe to say between 4 to 12 months for your trophy to be on your wall.

IMHO Taxidermy is as much or more a fine art as it is a job or profession. After I've invested time, money, effort and everything else on the hunt itself I want the memory and trophy of the hunt to last forever.
Some things come to my mind when I think of a good Taxidermist. Quality and a long lasting lifelike mount take time. A good high quality Taxidermist with a great reputation is in high demand and should have no shortage of work. Given this back log and the time they need to take to attend to every fine detail, any Taxidermist that guarantee's a exceptionally quick turn around time I would be leery of.
I have a good number of mounts here all done by the same Taxidermist. Some are getting quite a few years behind them but as I look at them they look as good now as they did the day I picked them up.
Most all of these mounts took a good year or even longer to finish and maybe I could have found someone cheaper but in my mind you get what you pay for and are willing to wait for.
I once heard someone say that it's not overly hard to mount an animal. The challenge is to have it look as life like as possible and have it look this way for many years.
Just my .02.
