I still using the modified choke that was in the barrel when i got the gun. Im not to fond of its pattern. I was going to put the full choke in. Befor I do I was wonder what you guys are using and how you like it. I personally think it spreads to much and I want more knock down power.

although you could use full for pheasant and bunnies its more so the shells that you may or may not be using, more knockdown power id go with a 3 inch mag and shot 4,5 poss 6 for pheasants. the key is if you using a full choke just use the factory full your not hunting turkeys and if you use a full choke thats tightly restricted you better be a sharp shooter to hit those birds.. ;D its not going to work for ya.. i seen your setup its good with the modified choke tube,id rec better shells.if you got the money try out that new heavy shot for pheasants but you dont need it personally..

Modified choke is a good all round choke. What shells are you using are they light loads? they would be plenty for rabbits but for pheasant and grouse i would go to the high brass/magnum game loads or 3" shells in 4,5,6 i prefer 6 shot myself. full is a good tube for the loger shots but anything close its going to do alot of damage esp. to a rabbit. Most of the time ill load up with the 1st 2 shots being game loads and the 3rd shot being a high brass/magnum. turkeys go with the XXFULL .660, .680 restriction and try different loads to find the one that shoots the best in your gun with the choke your using! Happy hunting

I have had good experience with 2 combinations in "backbored guns" which is what you have:
(1) Briley Xtra Full Extended (Non-ported choke) w/Federal FliteControl 12 3.5" HV 2 OZ no/.5's
(2) Kicks Gobbling Thunder .680w/directional diaginal porting w/Win 12 3.5" HV 2 oz No. 5's

Loggy's got it right, go after market for specialization hunting, turkey...geese at long range..the after barrel extended tubes are also the way to go..repeated shooting of steel shot through mod. can expand them to the point they won't screw back into the barrel..go extended for everything..far less pressure on the barrel.
