I would like to find a place to get a fully rifled 12G barrel cut down and recrowned.
Does anyone know of a place in PA?

If you are near a Gander Mount they have a full gunsmith shop. Where are you located?

I talked to the G/S at G/M he can go as short as 18 1/2" and recrown for @$50.00 takes about two weeks turn around. Store # 814 868 0880 and ask for Kory

I talked to the smith at GM in York. He doesn't know if he can do it or not. I want to go to 16", once I get my Form 1 back. I wonder why he'll only do 18 1/2"? Where is this GM located?

This one is in Erie and you can send him the barrel. I'd call him and ask if the Form 1 would allow him to go below the 18 1/2". This may be a federal law that would put the gun under different requirements.

As long as I retain the registered receiver, he can do the barrel work with a copy of my approved form 1, granted he has a gunsmith license. I know a very good builder of slug guns, but he said he isn't allowed to do it because he isn't an SOT. I have tried to educate, but to no avail.
Once I get my form, I'll call that GM.

REMEMBER RANDY WEAVER ? he cut two shotgun barrels shorter than 18" and some of his family members DIED as a result ! Google ---------- RUBY RIDGE

It's an NFA SBS Short barrelled shotgun and perfectly legal with the tax stamp.
I would consider any shotgun with the barrel sawed off, to be a sawed off shotgun, regardless of length.
