What kind of sights do you favor and why? Single pin sliders? Inline pins like the trophy ridge? or horizontle pins? Pro's and cons?

I have taking a liking to the trophy ridge 3 or 5 pin style of site with the inline pins. i mainly like the way they offer a larger field of view and obscure less of the target! There fiber optics are very btight even without the light and are easily changed! How many of you change or upgrade you fiber optics?

Copper John sites on all of my bows, multiple horizontal pins. My first pin (0-30 yds) is .029 & then the rest (40, 50, 60 & 70) are .019 so they block less of the target at longer distances.

I use the same setup jeff with the copperjohn but I use the .19 for my 20 and then go .10 for 30,40,50. Also I don't like a long piece of fiber optic because all it dose if to bright is blurry out your target. Remember your eye can only focus on one thing at a time. So basicaly all you do is consuntrate on that target and while doing so you incorperate that colored spot in your picture as and aiming point and if to big you lose your target picture do to a blob of blurry color.

For hunting a prefer a fixed multi-pin sight with 4 pins min(0-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55). I like the fixed pin sight for two reasons - 1. Ease and quickness of use - your quarry is not going to stand still for long . 2. You can use the pin above or below your chosen pinj as a refernece point. For tournament shooting I prefer the single pin slider for two reasons - 1. Uncluttered field of view. 2. Forces you to take your time in judging the distance to the target

Jeff hate to admit this but i am 47 and yes at times those pins sure do seem small my trophy ridge sights are all .29 pins as is my toxonics. But like i said best move you can make is upgrade your fibers! It really makes a differance!

The clarity peeps are mainly desinged for the use with a scope. I can't say if they would help with pins or not. I shot a 4 power APX scope on a surelock and used a 2 power lense in my peep and it helped alot. It still will not give you a clear picture at both target and sight at the same time because your eyes can't focuse on near and far at the same time. Another thing you can play around with is different hole diamiders in you peep. My advice also is stay away from the peeps with ruber tubes and the three and four strand peeps. The three and four strand peeps have a tendance at full draw to always have a strand in the way witch totaly washes out your sight picture. The tube peeps that have the tube conected to your limb from your peep are just a lazy mans peep IMO. Don't take that the wrong way but if you use a good peep such as a TRUE peep and have a good tuned bow you will not have problems with your peep turning. Hope this helps!

I use the CJ Deadnuts Pro II. The five pin sight is solid no vibrations, no rattling. Pins are clear usin .019. As soon as I can afford the new sight by Tru-Ball I'm going to invest in that one. Just need a couple extra $300.00. Yeh sure!
