Dont forget to drain your carberators when you store your boat for the winter, or you could get some of that stabile additive and mix it with your gas then run the motor for a little bit befor storing it. Also dont for get about the lawn mowere and other powered equipment.

Hey fellows just alittle hint. The best way to winterize your outboards and to be sure they are ready for next season. Go buy a can of fogging spray from your local marine dealer, now you can do this in the water when you load it up the last time or put a set of water muffs on your lower unit with the garden hose. All you need to do is with the motor running bring the rpms up to around 3500 to 4000 and start spraying each carb with the defolg spray,Note you may need to take the face of the airbox off to get to the intakes of the carbs. Sray the defolg in the carbs until to motor starts to smoke then shut it off. This sray will lube all silinder and keep moister out of the carbs. One last thing take a screwdriver and carfully losen the plug on the bottom or you lower unit until you see hopefully just alittle oil come out. If you see water drain the unit and get it ckecked for bad seals. If you leave water in ther it could freeze and crack the case. Hopefully this will help some one out. I was a bout mach. for a few years. Let me know if you have any other ?s and hopefuly I can help ya out.
