I didn't compare them to a $1500 scope.I compared them to a mid priced Leupold.I've used both extensively and in my opinion, the sightrons are every bit as good, especially the new big sky scopes.

the fact is that the biggest majority of people out there have a leupold on their gun. every store, catalog or web site has leupolds for sale. so tell me who makes a better scope. yes i do have nikons and burris but would trade them all for leupold. i'm sure sightron makes a fine scope

LONG BEARD...your correct, dollar for dollar and inch for inch, the LEUPOLD is hard to beat for the hunter in PA...their warrenty and return time is unequalled by anyone...they stand by their product, PERIOD....the 3X9 is all that anyone would or will ever need hunting in PA...I think I own about 10 of them...2 3.5X10's..1-4X12...1 4X16 and some competition model 36x's...they are clear and bright and flawless...HOWEVER, when you look through a nightforce, you'll be amazed but theycost 3 times as much or more !! LEUPOLD...about as good as it gets or can get...period

lots of good scopes on the market but most are playing catch up with Leupold. who do you think invented the duplex crosshairs that are so popular on all scopes today. ;D
