how rare is it to actually find both antlers from the same deer?
does this happen often, or is it just luck if you happen to find both?

now that would be cool, ending up with both horns from the same deer i'd think doesn't happen very often considering how far they may travel before the second horn falls off.
or do they fall off around the same time?
i know nothing about any of this so i have no clue, but...thats why i am asking.
shame is...i never really cared much before about what happened to them as long as they were in tact when i dropped the crosshairs on a big buck ;D

According to some avid shed hunters that I have talked to, it is not that uncommon to find the matched set of antlers. They suggests that when you find one, mark the spot and loop around it and you might find the other one. Search a 100 yard radius and log the time you found the first one as the bucks will drop the second one usually within 48 hrs of the first one.
