NO worries Mr Longbeard. Theyve won 7 out of last 8. Cant win em all. They were overdue for a loss. One interesting stat I saw on ESPN the other day. Only 11 teams have ever won first 7 games of the playoffs and of those, 8 of the 11 won the cup!
I dont put tons of weight on the meaningless statistics, but that one sounds pretty good to me!

....Looking good! They're playin' lights out hockey!
Malkin is definately thee premier player of the team.
That was a physical game. Hope it doesnt wear on the Penns young'ins too much. That kinda stuff has a cumulative effect on fast skill players. Specially when they hafta play so many games in such a short period.

Man, that Hossa was a helluva acquisition! Adding him in with Malkin, Crosby, and a few others...That offense is gonna be just too much for anybody, detroit or Dallas, though I think the series might be a bit closer than they have been.
Therrien is the man! I knew he was gonna be a good coach from day one. No nonsense. Turned the team around quickly.

Yup, as much as it hurts me my hat's off to the Pen's, they were clearly the better team. The late season additions they made were pretty much the missing pieces to their puzzle. They already had the speed and the snipers but they needed some size and brawn to withstand the teams that play physical and especially in the play offs when you see these same teams over and over again and they made the right moves by bringing in who they did.
The Flyers had a great year and a big turn around but they were out done by a better team and I wish the Pen's well in the finals.

Detroit is looking too good.
Oh well, at least Gary Roberts got to smack someone (Datsyuk) a few shots the other night before the ref tackled him to separate them, no doubt saving the prissy lil' pansy from a good ol' fashioned spankin'. He also poked "the mule" in the face with a glove that sent him into the fetal position, which either meant he was extremely soft, or he got poked in the eye.
Detroit is looking to be superior. They are playing a style that Penns have no answer for.
