I was up at Grice's a couple of weeks ago and picked up a STOEGER 350, PREDATOR/TURKEY...as an owner of one 2000 semi, I thought for $299.00 I couldn't go wrong, it came with 5 chokes including an extended turkey and two stocks, I really liked the feel of the pistol grip one and doubt if the straight one will ever go on it ever. My son and I spent some time doing it right as far as pattering goes, we tried about 5 different shells and the two that were the most impressive were the 3.5 inch FEDERAL blue/gold's in#5 and the HEVI-SHOT 13, but the price difference is large, $7 vs. $37, I told him to keep the 9 left and shoot 9 turkeys with them over the next few years..but they did pattern fantastic, we did all our shooting at 30 yards..the gun shot perfectly straight but didn't shoot high at all...it shot exactly where the bead was.. I like to see the head above my fron bead, but this one will require you to cover it, but it did pattern nice, for $299 it is hard hard to beat !!

Frank,
I have the 2000 and I absolutely love it. I've fired the Benelii's and the Stoegers and I really see very little difference except for recoil. My 2000 does shoot a little low so I'm still playing with the sight a bit. It loved the new Federal Flight Control with the .635 choke in. Very tight pattern out to 40. I would feel very comfortable taking a 45 and even 50 yard shot with that combo.
