Piekarskip, Excuse me but I am not one of the people you were talking about and you are the one mouthing off and making fun of someones disabilty. I have never once asked for special treatment and don't expect it. I have lived alone since 3 weeks after my surgery and I have excepted my problems and have adjusted better than most, Probably even you. I am not mad, bitter, or feel sorry for myself. I have been asked several times by different social service groups if I was intersested in speaking with or working with other people that have become disabled in my area because I have dealt with and adjusted to my situation so well. Its not an issue of who has it worse, its about respect for others and their feelings and what they have to deal with, none of us deserve to be called lucky!!!!! We are to try and help each other the best we can and to give helpful advise, not down grade someone , criticize them, or call them names. All I wanted was to know if there were any other deaf hunters, or hunters with an eye problem as myself and was seeking their advise , and wisdom on the matter so I too can get back out in the woods and enjoy myself agian, nothing more. Hawk Where do you see I am making fun of anyone? As far as problems I was 49 when I had a stroke that kept me in a coma for three months [blood clot]. When I awoke found out I had a trachea, so I cannot swallow properly, had the motor sections of my brain removed so I can no longer can stand upright causing me to soon break a hip and shoulder, deaf and blind [cannot blink] with my left side weakness. They had to take muscle out of my thigh to close the left side of my mouth so I could be understood when I speak . I cannot hold an object in my left hand if I try the tremor in my left arm causes me to beat my arm against the nearest solid object until I either release it or break my arm or hand. I have no feelingin one side of my body, other is over-sensitive causing me to either scald myself or feel like I am standing in a hail storm when I take a shower. The stroke has accelerated my arthritis causing me to need double knee replacement this summer.0h yeah, now I'm now a diabetic. So I think I know what I say that people are not taking advantage of what is out there. If you are willing to take advice from someone who has upset you, hook up with WHEELIN SPORTSMAN, Take care and get out there GEORGE
PS The lucky part was about a tongue-in- cheek joke describing a LOST & FOUND poster about an unfortunate dog.

Well it sure does help using ATV's to get to places , but I remember bow hunting before my injury , I had to huge 8 point's walking my way about 45-50 yards when an ATV came down the path ,stopped and whistled at them and they ran under my tree , I was pretty angry. But there should be places on game lands for this use for handycap only

i think the PGC don't do that now cause they know it would open a can of worms....if they open the roads like that and there not around to patrol them guess what would be happening....they already have troubles with ATV's now by healthy people....just my .02 cents worth that it would not work, and that's a shame..................bob

Maybe the PGC should patrol more. I actually seen a pgc truck fly down past me in turkey season . I drove down where he was and he was in full camo with a shotgun. Hunting on duty ? My kind of job when I could work..lol There needs to be more for disabled hunters
