I did some research and if my shaft length was 27 or 28 yes the 500's would be the correct spine.I do not like the broad head to sit over my bow hand and being the whisker biscuit is behind the bow shelve I did need 2" to get the broad head just in front of the bow and my hand I am using the 100 grain field tip and the arrow is pin straight to the target I wonder how much speed would be lost if I used 125 grain tips?

Remember I said I know the feeling all too well myself:-) Every bone in my body aches these days. Add 25 grains up front and the speed loss will be 5-8 fps. Better FOC and the arrows might actually group better. Most times when I've been set up with a 75gr broadhead and went to 100 gr (+ 25gr) my arrows hit about 3" lower at 30 yards. I would think you'd get about the same results.

better to lose the speed and get better groups. give me a slow accurate bow before and okay fast bow. if your on a budget try easton st excels . i picked up a dozen last year for $50.00 dollars and there not bad arrows.but when it comes to hunting the easton axis gets the nod

I broke out a bow I haven't shot in about 6-7 years. I have a 33" Storm Ultra-Mag. I set it up and shooting CX 250 Max 3-D Selects. 97 grains up front. This little bow is a speed demon. I used to shoot CX 350 LJ. At 319 FPS. I couldn't even see the arrow (CX 250) flying. I have no idea how fast it's shooting, but the speed is unbelieveable. If you're familiar with this bow you know I'm not saying anything that isn't true. That's the only short bow I ever liked shooting. I have one pin. 0-33 yards. Not bad for a 27" draw length.
