I put out a scrape dripper last week in anticipation of the season opener. Is it too early to use it at a mock scrape? I have seen some small scrapes under some apple trees. Has anyone had any luck using a scrape dripper? The scent I used was hot scrape.

One thing I've always done in the past was where ever i had a hang on in place.......... what i'd do is the day I hung the stand I'd kick out a mock scrap with-in 20 yrds and I always used doe urine this early....I'll say 90% of the time when I arrived to hunt that location It had been taken over by the local buck in the area.....for the first week or two every time I would go in to hunt I'd refreshen the scrape with doe urine....then by the third week i'd start using tarsal scents and doe estrus scents....
My suggestion is to experiment you may stubble on to something that will work for you...you'll be able to see how the deer react while hunting in the early season to know to back off with the hot scrape and maybe use later on...
Good luck to you this season let us hear how things turn out and your approach

it's little early but like boxie said try they may like it. the bucks get the bug first then the doe's . save some of that scent for the first two weeks of nov.
