me and mrlongbeard were out in the woods before first light, we split up and went to our stands, we both saw the same deer....imagine that 2 really nice size does and a 6 point, we both let the does pass and the little buck. we both have to work this afternoon, I'm off work on Monday, so I'll be out then .

Went out this morning, seen 6 at the first spot I setup on - all does , none offered any shot oppurtunities as they were 50 yds out. Left that spot at 930, went back to the house and began a cat and mouse game with a young doe who would come in the yard, tried several times to put a stalk on here from the back porch - she won round one. Took a nap from 1230 until 400, then headed to my evening stand, had a 2 doe come in to 30 yds, but they were off to my right and I didn't want to risk spooking them to get in position for a shot - the large doe seemed to be jittery anyway. Got a call from a buddy as I was putting my gear away, he had shot a 6 point at about 6 PM. They had seen a total of 9 bucks and 6 does from the same spot throughout the day. Was a decent sized buck, probably will go 125 lbs dressed, the rack was small and several of the points showed signs of being damaged when he was in velvet. Grand total game seen today - 35 deer, 50 turkey, 1 coyote, 50 squirrels, 4 coons(who decided to climb into my friends stand this morning with him ;D) and a crap load of chipmunks.

As fate would have it I am there back up when they need to be away.(they are both recuperating nicely). HOWEVER my buddy and his brother went to a spot we had been scouting since spring turkey season...................and at 10.00 AM he arrowed a nice 9 point . I'll try to get some pics later today after check out time ............here is the pic

Saw total of 13 counting morning and evening hunt, all doe and fawns. There are buck around, I just gotta keep plugging!! also had a grouse almost fly into me, seen flock of turkey, and last but not least gigantic bear right under my stand, I was ok until it stood up sniffing at my tree I was in then I had to flinch to get it to scatter. Was neat to see though..

Got out in the am and had a nice buck coming in at 7:10, straight at me I figured when he would come around a big oak he'd be 30 yrds and I'd try and take him then as not to let him get to close and pick me off....well his 6th sense kicked in and just on the other side of the oak he stopped and was eating then he started acting like he new something was up, he was upwind of me so I knew he didn't wind me but instead of coming around the tree he cut on an angle behind and gave me a 35 yrd shot between two trees....I was at full draw and had my pin on him when I decided to wait for a closer shot hopeing he'd try to circle me but to my dismay he angled out of sight....I'll be getting out in the same area on Tues. evening hopefully to catch him on his way out to feed...
