i have owned alot of different models of Hortons and i never had any problems with any of them, i did have to get the limbs replaced on my last xbow but that was because i lowered my xbow from the tree and found i still had a bolt i forgot to put in the quiver so i tossed it down...little did i know it was going to land point first into one of my limbs. it made a slight knick/splinter in it and i was afraid it may not be safe, so i sent it to Horton and they replaced the limbs for me and gave me a brand new warranty period starting the day the limbs were added only problem i ever had that was not my fault was i had a easy winder explode the first time i pulled my xbow back, Horton told me to return it and they would send me a new one. the turn around time was fantastic and so was there service department, i personally won't own anything else. i just upgrade to there newest and most powerful model every year or so...lol like i said before though, there are so many out there that are so good today that you have to do your homework and decide whats best for you when buying one. best of luck to anyone who is in the market for a new xbow, no matter what you buy i am sure you will be hooked once you shoot one

I hear a lot of good things about Horton crossbows. only suggestion i would give when buying a Horton would be to stay away from the recurve limb type, even one of tech's told me they have alot of issues with those.

I have 3 Excalibur xbows. One is a 24 year old Relayer and shoots as good todayas it did in 1984, I also own a 1992 Wolverine and a 2006 Pheonix. None cost more than $500 but have lasted long enough to have paid for themselves.
