Shot a doe this morning about 7:30. Had deer running around all morning. Had a buck at about 50 yards but wouldn't come in. After I shot I left her go for about 1hr went to my car to take some clothes off and talked to the landowner. Then got on the trail. Blood trail was good at first then by about 50yds it was only drops. I marked where the last drop was and decided to go to work and then come back out afterwards. Found her in little time. She ran through a meadow and got underneath some fallen logs. I was lucky to find her. I,m now going to turn my bow down and use my heavier arrows. Already this year with a miss and a poor shot I need to get back to something that is proven to work for me.

Had a shot opportunity blown on a doe saturday. I was walking along a tractor trail east of my property and had a doe literilly come running to me, I stopped her at 25 yds and released the arrow, only to have the bow string catch my coat sleeve and send the shot wide left for a complete miss . Oh well, thats why they call it hunting and not shooting Will be out again this week, with the colder weather comming in the rut will be in full swing.
