I use it in my pro hunter .50 cal and I love it. pros... no swabbing tween shots, no "crud" ring increased accuracy cons... $$$$$ doesn't work in all guns check out modernmuzzleloader.com for more info.....

one "con" which kinda goes with price is availability...most "local" places dont handle it. but its readily available at big box places( cabelas) or online but then you have shipping and hazmat fees which raises the price more...but with the performance/accuracy and lack of swabbing I am willing to pay the price !

I found some at a local gunshop here for $31 and tried it in my encore. Let me put it this way, I will not use pyrodex or triple 7 anymore in the encore. It was almost too easy to get her shooting with 300/.452 XTP/crushrib sabot/Winchester W209. I ended up with 110 grains and one hole at 50 yds and 1/2" group at 100yds. only bad thing was I waited till the late ML season to hunt with it and a deer never volunteered for testing....oh, and after a week of being loaded in/out of the truck/house I killed a gator aid bottle at 30yds when I shot her off to cleanup for the winter. Cleanup is great too!! Couple patches with Hoppes9 or BC bore scrubber and its all clean. I now just use tape on the BP as it is not a problem to remove either. I recommend BH209 if you haven't tried it yet!!
