What breech plug grease do you use? I have found this to work great after trying sooooo many. ;D Randy Wakeman (ML Expert, writer etc) put me on to it when I owned my Savage 10 ML-II's when proper grease was critical in lubing both the breech plug & ventliner while shootin the hot stuff! ;D I dont use any tape & this seems to be the ticket. Can be found at most auto supply stores. A highly refined blend of aluminum, copper and graphite lubricants. Use during assembly to prevent galling, corrosion and seizing on metal to metal contact points and to assure easier disassembly. Temperature range: -60°F to 1600°F (-51°Cto 871°C). Salt, corrosion and moisture resistant – ideal for marine use. This non-aerosol version meets Military Spec #907E.

I actually use a Traditions grease that comes in a syringe and is easy to use. It seems to last for a while anyhow and I've never had a problem of plug seize ups. The main thing to remember is put something on the threads and fully clean your gun after shooting and you should never have a plug seize up.
