what a honor to post right behind the famed PaBH4L once again. ;D Personally fixed for me........ST's, Montec G5's, TH's, or Razorbacks all fly equally well and are very sharp!

i bow hunted all my life with fixed blades and have used ThunderHead 100's for forever and a day with great success, i have been using a xbow now for about 4 years due to an arm injury and my good ole ThunderHeads are still getting the job done for me.

I switched to Wasp Jack Hammer SST mechanicals 5 years ago. In that time I have taken 3 deer and 1 Turkey The farthest any 1 traveled was 30 yds and no problem following a blood trail.

I bought some slick tricks and they do shoot like darts. The only problem was I couldn't find any deer close enough to try them on.

I've been using Montec G5 100 grains the past two seasons. I like them. Previously I use Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain tips. They have my vote of approval too. I've lost 2 deer with mechanicals due to very poor penetration. I will not use them again.

fixed blade = less moving parts to go wrong at the wrong time or not open up....bad feeling to think i've just shot a deer with something like a field point if it didn't open....................bob
