I have 2 of the Field and Stream (Dick's) outpost elite 2 person 15' ladder stands. I am a big guy (300+lbs), I dont trust the smaller stands and I dont much care for heights either. When properly setup they are as sturdy as you can get! With theese stands I am completely comfortable and when the blind kit is installed you dont even remember you are in a tree for the most part. It has a full platform that extends under the fold up bench seat which provides plenty of foot rest room, storage room for your gear, and plenty of standing room even with the bench seat down. It has a folding shooting rail, not the sturdiest, but better than nothing and it gives me a sense of security when its down (back to that heights thing).
Also With the blind kit installed you get the obvious pros of a blind, concealment, but it also keeps me in the woods a little longer. The roof does leak a little and rain/snow will blow in the open windows, but it helps me stay dryer and more comfortable.
Now I consider all of the things I said above to be the pros of this stand. Now for the cons. Theese stands are not portable at all, They are heavy and a bear to put up and They take some time to assemble. I have mine on private land and leave them up year round, If you are looking for a good, sturdy stand that you dont need to move often this is it ;D!
I recomend at least 3 people to put it up, I put mine up with 1 other person and if I move them, believe me, I will have at least 2 other people with me. I recomend the ladder stand leveler feet: ameristep, remington (walmart) and maybee some others make them.
