Blackhawk, Friends dont let friends carry Glock! People like Glock cause they think they have to. I like my Glock,because it always runs @100%,not because I think I have to ! I have fired over 6000 rounds through it and never ever had a Failure to Feed, Fire ,or Eject. It's easy to clean and maintain, and will fire any type of ammo, even lead bullets.

I carry a bunch of different one and it depends where I am going and what I am wearing. I have S&W 38 airlight that is nice and light but the bad part is the lack of rounds. Most of the time I carry a Glock 22 or 23. But never leave home without one in the world we live in now.

So everyone is aware, a holder of a gun permit is not obligated to conceal there weapon. You are allowed to carry a gun at your side so long as you have a gun permit.

Anybody can carry a gun outside of there pants if they are able to possess a firearm. However you can be cited for disorderly conduct because it may cause in increace alarm with the public that causes no good purpose.

Its called the right to bair arms. You can carry one on your side in the open anytime. Yes this will probably create a rucuss with the public but there is nothing they or anyone can do about it. Meaning you won't get disorderly conduct charges. I'm not saying I would carry this way but you can. I would recommend the concealed weapons permit.

If you have a concealed it must be concealed! If you have a handgun hunting permitt it must be in the open with your hunting licence present.

to conceal,I carry a Taurus 38 Special, with a 2 inch barrel. If the bullet don't hit them, the loud crack will deafen them. For hunting, a Stainless Ruger Super Redhawk 44MAG. with a 7 3/8 inch barrel, with Stainless Millet Red dot scope. Thats a two handed gun for sure, and Hard to conceal .

If you have a concealed it must be concealed! If you have a handgun hunting permitt it must be in the open with your hunting licence present. Wrong info! There is no requirement that your handgun must be concealed, only that it "can" be concealed when carrying with a license to carry. Also, there is no requirement that your handgun must be in the open when carrying with a Sportsman's Permit. In addition, open carry of a firearm is legal in PA without any type of license or permit, except in Philly where you need a license to carry to carry openly.

Well tell your Sgt, that I'm an Asst Chief of Police and he needs to read the UFA again.
Pa 6106 says you cannot carry concealed or in your vehicle without a licesne;
(a) Offense defined.--
(1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), any person who carries a firearm in any vehicle or any person who carries a firearm concealed on or about his person, except in his place of abode or fixed place of business, without a valid and lawfully issued license under this chapter commits a felony of the third degree.
There are exceptions to PA 6106, meaning you can carry CONCEALED or in your vehicle without a license. One of those exceptions is the Sportsman's Permit.
(b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to:
(9) Persons licensed to hunt, take furbearers or fish in this Commonwealth, if such persons are actually hunting, taking furbearers or fishing as permitted by such license, or are going to the places where they desire to hunt, take furbearers or fish or returning from such places.
(10) Persons training dogs, if such persons are actually training dogs during the regular training season.
These "exceptions" mean you can carry concealed or in your vehicle, however.....for (b)(9) & (10) to apply, you need a Sportsman's permit;
(c) Sportsman's firearm permit.--
(1) Before any exception shall be granted under paragraph (b)(9) or (10) of this section to any person 18 years of age or older licensed to hunt, trap or fish or who has been issued a permit relating to hunting dogs, such person shall, at the time of securing his hunting, furtaking or fishing license or any time after such license has been issued, secure a sportsman's firearm permit from the county treasurer. The sportsman's firearm permit shall be issued immediately and be valid throughout this Commonwealth for a period of five years from the date of issue for any legal firearm, when carried in conjunction with a valid hunting, furtaking or fishing license or permit relating to hunting dogs. The sportsman's firearm permit shall be in triplicate on a form to be furnished by the Pennsylvania State Police. The original permit shall be delivered to the person, and the first copy thereof, within seven days, shall be forwarded to the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police by the county treasurer. The second copy shall be retained by the county treasurer for a period of two years from the date of expiration. The county treasurer shall be entitled to collect a fee of not more than $6 for each such permit issued, which shall include the cost of any official form. The Pennsylvania State Police may recover from the county treasurer the cost of any such form, but may not charge more than $1 for each official permit form furnished to the county treasurer.
So I've proven myself. Tell your cousin to stop spreading wrong info.
